The Grand Rapids Public School boards provides education for K-12, as well as number of other charter schools.
Grand Rapids harbors a majority of colleges and universities. Aquinas College, Calvin College, and Cornerstone University are private, religious schools with a campus in the city. The Grand Rapids Community College contains a campus downtown and facilities scattered throughout the city and surrounding area. The Grand Valley State University continues to expand itself by building more in the downtown area. Ferris State University has a growing campus downtown as well, including the Applied Technology Center and the celebrated Kendall College of Art and Design. Some others include the private school Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Davenport University, and Western Michigan University.
