When cleaning out your Accpac Vancouver desk before moving to Grand Rapids,
Michigan, you probably were looking at as many neighborhoods as possible. You
wanted to make sure that you picked out a house in a section of the town that
will suit all your needs. Now, this brings us to the section of the site you
are currently reading. We're going to discuss a little bit about the section
of Grand Rapids known as Heritage Hill. We want to be able to bring you information
about this district that will hopefully help you settle in to the new home you
bought there. Or it could help you in make a decision about whether you should
buy a house there or get a commercial mortgage and start up your own business.
Located in the southeastern part of town, Heritage Hill is one of the largest
districts in the country. It's home to over 1000 Victorian homes, one
of which was constructed by the great Frank Lloyd Wright and then turned into
a museum. While you won't be living in a home built by Mr. Wright, you
will have the opportunity to choose from an abundance of beautiful homes in
the area. And you more than likely don't have to worry about lagoon cleaning.
Because of all the historic homes in the area, one of the more popular things
to do in Heritage Hill is visit the homes that were built in the 1800s. You
can either do so by taking a sponsored home tour every first weekend of October.
Put on by the Heritage Hill Association, you get the opportunity to actually
take a tour inside the historic homes. You could also pick up a publication
of self-guided walking tours of the district. You can go on those tours anytime
but you don't have access to going inside the homes. Heritage Hill is
also closely located near pubs, universities and theatres, which makes taking
a stroll through town very convenient.
You're probably wondering what it might cost you to purchase a home in
Heritage Hill. Well, you're probably going to have to make a lot more
basket strainers or sell more paper at work than you planned if you want to
own a home in the Heritage Hill area. When dealing with a local real estate
agent, you're going to be a little taken aback that most houses list for
around $250,000. That listing price is one of the few reasons why Heritage Hill
at times may seem as an elite district that is home to young teachers, doctors
and lawyers. But don't let that stop you from moving there. It's
not exclusive by any means. But you should believe that you are paying for what
you get and that the Victorian style mansions are well worth the asking price.
One of the great things about Heritage Hill is that it's home to several respected
schools so you don't have to worry about finding a place that will educate your
kids. And if you're looking for things to do, you can head over to Peppino's
for some freshly baked pizzas. Or, if you're in the mood for some of the best
wine and beer in town, make your way to Martha's Vineyard. As you can see, Heritage
Hill has everything and then some that you would want in a place that you're
going to call home. Hopefully we've given you something to mull over when you're
thinking of moving to Grand Rapids. Whether you're coming to the city to further
your education or are starting a business to make cord
grips Heritage Hill may be right for you.
